16 Oct 2019 October 16, 2019 – Meeting: “Returning to nature for safer cities: urban green as a tool for resilience”
The cycle of meetings promoted by the LIFE project “BEWARE” continues, with a new appointment in GB Cipani secondary school (Santorso), on Wednesday 16th of October. Lucia Bortolini and Paolo Semenzato, professors from Padua University, will present the different systems for guaranteeing a sustainable management of rainwater in an urban environment. They will talk about green solutions such as rain gardens, green roofs or bio-retention basins, illustrating the benefits of green services for making cities more and more resilient.
Furthermore, the artist Lorenza Zambon from “Teatro Natura” will talk about the concept of “poetic ecology”. In the artist’s own words: “I define myself as an ‘actress-gardener’. To be a gardener it is not necessary to own a garden because our garden is our Planet and we all live in it”.
