The project involves the construction of a raingarden in the southern part of the car park and a bioretention flowerbed on the east side. The primary objective of the intervention is hydrological/hydraulic, to facilitate the control and infiltration of rainwater that flows on the impermeable asphalt surface of the parking lot. The intervention will therefore reduce the volumes and times of contribution of the outflows to the urban drainage system.
Realization of a water management system for the discharge of the hill of Grumo with the aim of mitigating the condition of hydraulic suffering of the buildings at the foot of the hill (Via De Gasperi), using water retention solutions that are as natural as possible and at the same time provide added value to the area from an aesthetic and landscape point of view. The system involves the construction of a small surface gutter channel (“swale”) that cuts the north side of the hill in the direction from west-east, intercepting the surface water flow and conveying it into an area of bioretention (bioretention area) that will be built on the east side of the hill. The bypassing of the hill will be carried out through the construction of a double log cribwall, which will also have the function of improving the current local stability conditions of the slope.
The project involves the green arrangement of a local public garden, located on a hill in Via Volti. Taking advantage of the depression at the top, a detention basin will be created, which will be filled in the event of intense rainfall. A small permanent pond area with marshland vegetation will be set aside in this reservoir. The intervention will serve to reduce the impact on the drainage network created by the new subdivision of Via Volti.
The intervention foresees the insertion of two cisterns that allow to collect and recover rainwater coming from two downspouts and the realization of two losing wells that will solve the problems of flooding of the private court from which it takes the name of “Acqua Saliente”.
The objective of the intervention is to create sustainable water retention works that allow better management of the outflows on the parking lot of the cemetery in Via dei Prati. These interventions will limit the episodes of flooding, documented on several occasions, in case of intense rain events. Two rain gardens will be created for the management and infiltration of rainwater flowing on the impermeable asphalt surface of the cemetery car park, a small drainage trench (infiltration trench) and the conversion of a small portion of the car park from impermeable to permeable (pervious pavement).
The aim of the intervention is to reduce the risk of flooding of the primary school of Marano Vicentino through the creation of different sustainable urban drainage systems suitably arranged in the area and interconnected to improve their hydraulic efficiency. The interventions in question are composed of rain gardens, drainage paving and rainwater collection tanks/flowers. This set of small interventions will allow to manage the rainwater that, in case of intense weather events, accumulates going to flood, even with damage to the structure, the area of the school used as a canteen.
In the agricultural area in the Giavenale di Schio area, a micro-basin of 2,500 cubic metres will be built with a double objective: to retain and slow down the flow of water downstream, and to guarantee, even in times of drought, the water resource to the agricultural activities of the area. The basin will be surrounded by a strip of vegetation typical of the Venetian lowland areas in order to increase the biodiversity of the area and to create a habitat for different animal species.
